About Me

Little bit about me?
I am a Software Developer, having graduated in 2019 from Port Elizabeth TVET College. Recognizing the dynamic nature of the field, particularly highlighted during the pandemic, I embarked on a self-directed learning journey to further enhance my skills. With considerable experience gained over the years, I developed my expertise during my time as a Flutter Developer Intern at KellyGirlSkills . My portfolio includes the development of various web and mobile applications, where I have demonstrated proficiency in both frontend and backend development.
How did I get into I.T?
My passion for I.T started at college. I wasn't sure exactly which course I should apply for, but in my mind HR was the only course that I could think about. Unfortunately the campus that I visited that day to enrol for this course was unavailable. I was forced to enrol for another course that was available at the time, because it was late for me to go to another campus, I knew they also would be full by that time. ICT was the only course that was available, but I wasn't even sure what it is all about, but the only fact that I knew is that it has something to do with computers. I had a laptop at the time, those old Thinkpad IBM that has small space of about 60GB, so I would spend my time playing with it like sending files back and fourth, or sometimes installing something, like an app or software. So I had to make a decision about whether to enrol for ICT or take my chances by going to the right campus with the hopes of finding the space to enrol for HR. I guess I made the best decision for myself although I didn't know at that time.
